How do you handle medication refills?
It’s best to secure prescriptions for all medications during office visits.
If possible, please check your pharmacy records before your appointment to determine
whether you need new prescriptions. In general, your prescription bottle should
indicate the number of refills remaining and the expiration date of the prescription.
If you lost your bottle, packaging and records, your pharmacy should be able to
provide you this information.
Do you refill medications by telephone?
If needed, we are happy to refill medications during regular office hours by telephone
for established patients who are not overdue for follow-up appointments. Please have the patient's name & date of birth available along with the name of the medicine(s) that you need as well as the name and telephone number of the pharmacy you use. If you are overdue for a follow-up appointment,
we will refill your medications by telephone after you schedule an appointment.
