Children

Caring for our children is one of our highest priorities at Regional Allergy. As healthcare providers and parents, we understand that pediatric patients require special attention and expertise. They are not simply adults with smaller bodies. Their health needs are vastly different from their adult counterparts, who are even suffering from the same diseases. Importantly, the majority of people who develop allergies (to pollens, danders and food), asthma and atopic dermatitis (“eczema”), do so during childhood. Diagnosing and treating these diseases early can prevent severe and often irreversible consequences.

The impact made by asthma, allergies and atopic dermatitis, not only, on the patients, but also, on their families is enormous when these conditions are poorly controlled. The children and their parents miss millions of school and work days. The children are unable to enjoy the simple pleasures of childhood, like going outside to play with friends. Eventually, they begin to feel “different” and their self-esteem begins to suffer.

Our commitment is to carefully listen and properly diagnose your child’s problem and provide a comprehensive treatment plan so that he or she can focus on playing, learning and, most important, enjoy being a kid.
