| W. Leon Elliston, M.D. |
A native of Greenville, NC, he received his medical degree and internship at Loma Linda University in California. He then returned to North Carolina and completed his residency and fellowship training in allergy, immunology and asthma at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. There he received top honors in immunology and designed research regarding asthma and allergies. Dr. Elliston is certified by The American Board of Allergy and Immunology and The American Board of Pediatrics. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. Dr. Elliston is on the medical staffs of Mission Hospitals, Park Ridge Hospital, and Pardee Hospital. He has three children, Andrew, Lauren and Audrey. |
| John E. Van Wye, M.D. |
Dr. Van Wye has been certified by The American Board of Allergy and Immunology and The American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is on the staff at Mission Hospitals, Pardee Hospital, and Park Ridge Hospital. In 1991, he moved to Asheville from Stanford with his wife, Dr. Hope Mustoe, a pediatrician. They have two children, Ian, born in 1994 and Eliza, born in 1997. |

Dr. Cypcar has been certified by The American Board of Allergy and Immunology and The American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is on the staff of Mission Hospitals, and Pardee Hospital. Dr. Cypcar and his wife, Betsy, have three children, Andrew, Brian and Megan. |
| Hal A. Jenkins, M.D. |
Dr. Jenkins is certified by The American Board of Allergy and Immunology and The American Board of Pediatrics. He is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. He is a member of the medical staffs of Mission Hospitals, Pardee Hospital, and Park Ridge Hospital. Dr. Jenkins joined our practice in 2002. He and his wife, Merry, have a daughter, Peyton, born in 2001 and a son, Samuel, born in 2003. |
Dr. Elliston founded the practice in 1979 after moving to western North Carolina from Winston Salem, NC.
Dr. Van Wye is a native of Kansas and attended Harvard University, graduating magna cum laude. He received his medical degree at Stanford University and spent an additional five years there for his residency and fellowship training in allergy and immunology.
Dr. Cypcar is a native of Wisconsin, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for both his undergraduate and medical school training. He then went to Texas to complete a three year pediatric residency, and returned to Madison for a two-year combined adult and pediatric fellowship in allergy and immunology. He joined our practice in 1993.
Dr. Jenkins is a native of Georgia, and received his undergraduate degree from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He attended the Medical College of Georgia for medical school, and then completed a three-year pediatrics residency at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. This was followed by one year as Chief Resident and attending faculty at Greenville Memorial Hospital. He then completed a two-year fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver, Colorado.
